I just love this oak tree!

This tree is on my regular walk with the dog. It is a mature, healthy English oak that is probably around 200 years old - maybe older. You often hear birds such as blackbirds and song thrushes singing from its branches.
It is next to a public footpath that runs across the middle of a field that is now starting to grow a wheat crop. I often wonder if a farmer in the past thought about chopping it down to make it easier for him to plough and harvest his field. I am so glad that he thought otherwise!

That is a lovely oak tree, I miss oak trees here in Florida it is palm trees and other trees I have never seen before.

It would be terrible if he chopped it down now but surely he won't do that. It is certainly a lovely looking tree.
