flood is catastrophic but most flood is caused by human. for example, illegal loffing, deforestation, littering are such thing which cause flood in our earth.
many people complain that they suffer from flood, but we don't realize that we are the cause of the flood.
flood damage our house, road, resiential area, schools, etc.

Flooding is also a problem in the Philippines during typhoon season. Global warming causing ice caps to melt and raising water levels is also causing it besides what you mentioned
