Lesson learned - True Story

A little while back I told you a story of my past and thought I would share another one with you all.
This little gem happened back when I was 24 or 25 I don’t really remember exactly. A friend of mine was getting married and we had a little bachelor party at a hotel. We were all drinking and play cards and just having a good time.
There was a knock on the door and I decided to see who it was. I mean we were not being too loud I thought.
I answered the door and there were two police officers there. They started nice enough with something like hey guys how are you all or something like that. Then they asked if we had a car in the parking lot and gave the make, model and color of one of my friend’s cars. Now, being fairly drunk my answer was “I don’t know nothing about nothing”. That little line apparently was quite funny to all my friends since they all started to laugh. Oddly enough the cops didn’t find it all that funny, but they did say they just needed the car moved by someone who was sober enough to move it. I said let me look and I went to the window and started laughing.
I had forgot that one of the idiots decided to go get more alcohol and when he came back must have thought it was a good idea to park the car in the grass by the building.
The cops came down with us to make sure the car got moved but since none of us were in any shape to drive the car we got smart and gave the desk clerk $20 to move the car. He couldn’t leave the front desk but he was nice enough to call one of the maintenance guys to come and do it and told him we would give him $20. Wait we just gave him the money. Well I guess that covered the cost of the call because we had to give the maintenance guy $20 too.
The lessons learned – don’t park like and idiot or the cops will come, never give money up till the job is done.
Oh, and that little saying, I don’t know nothing about nothing stuck around in that group of friends for years. Anytime something stupid happened or we didn’t want to admit to anything. I don’t know nothing about nothing.

@JudyEv That it does, I was kind of a trouble maker in high school and friends of mine would complain about the cops all the time, but they were A-holes even to the cops. Where I thought the cops were cool to me, I guess cause I was cool with them.
