My Job

I had been working from home for many years. Mainly out of necessity because of health issues. I did different things. Mostly customer support & data entry, as, I had done in offices. I was never able to find the right combination of things (like some have) to make a decent living. Just enough to pay some expenses. Which was ok, when, my then husband, was able to work. The best part, for me, about being an independent contractor was, making my own schedule. I felt I had more of a life that way. I still look for things I'm able to do from home & hope this time to find something I can have good income with.
A friend (who I had met when I adopted her kitties) recommended I apply for an agency that helps out developmentally disabled adults. I had told her that I had met a lot of their staff & clients at the shelter (where I volunteer with the cats). I thought I'd have to have a degree to do this job or certainly, some experience, but, it was entry level. I did get it.
We're a day program & community based. We support them with goals, observe behaviors & take them on activities. Including, gathering with some of the other clients & staff. Right now we've each been assigned a client to call & have a brief, safe distance weekly visit. I'm thankful we can still have some contact. During normal times this job comes with it's own unique challenges & stresses. It's also been one of the most joyful & rewarding things I've done. The pic is just one I found online.

Hi, Simone. I'm going to be selling natural pet products. I've always been a big animal lover & advocate.
