Face mask and social distancing can protect us

According to the news (and not on silly YouTube videos) the virus can travel out of the carrier when he coughs or sneezes. But if he has the face mask and you have a face mask too then there is very little chance of getting contaminated. If you are 6 feet away from the coughing carrier then there is no risk. With the surfaces that may have a virus, use alcohol to cleanse your hands if soap and water is not available. Any addition?

@rakski social distancing is very important next to the face mask. It will be a big problem not only in school but also in offices. I heard that some offices are doing an alternate attendance to accommodate only 50% of the work force. That means half of the work for each employee and probably half of the salary as well.

They also say that the virus can be carried by droplets from sweat that can be swept by air through evaporation. so if you see a sweaty person be sure that you are not in the direction of the wind since his/her sweat might have the virus is the sweat. although the fastest way to spread is coughing and sneezing still since the particles travel faster than relying on water vapor floating around.

@Alexandoy Well this was observed in the closed rooms in the hospitals. Yes the virus does reproduce from the lungs and throat area but when they are released it can go out of the pores too. That is why shaking hands and hugging is also discouraged since any airborne particles from your body can contain the virus. Anyway I am no scientist or medical expert to validate it but just read or heard it somewhere.

The reason why I posted this discussion is for people to verify what they think if fact especially about the droplets. I am not a doctor but it is silly for the droplet to come out of the pores. The virus is in the lungs and not on the skin. Water vapor can float for only a few seconds. That is a fact that I learned in general science grade 6.

@marguicha surely staying at home is the best. But all of us cannot do that all the time. We have to go out here to attend to errands and personal businesses.

Yes, I have also read that the virus can enter our eyes and ears. Too many facts that are not really accurate at all. We just have to focus on the coughing and sneezing of people. No cough or sneeze, fine.

I try to avoid going out at all costs but if I have to, I make sure I'm wearing my mask at ALL TIMES. I ensure it covers my nose and mouth, carry hand sanitiser and anti-bacterial wet wipes. The only thing I wish I had is disposable plastic gloves. oh, and avoid touching my face.

My only addition is that I don't think the requests are unreasonable. I especially think if you're going to take children outside you should put a mask on them. Have you seen the reports on children having cardiac arrests?
