THIS is a fire station?

It felt more like I had stepped onto the set of a college movie. For starters, the building was massive! Atleast three floors, and about ten rooms on each floor. You opened up one room and it was like walking back outside with trees that grew as far as the ceiling would allow, and a stream off to the side. Another room was wall to wall arcade games with lots of men in brown khakis and white polos playing on them.
"You are pulling my Leg, Denver. This is not a fire station! I haven't seen one fire truck, fire hose, or fire pole!" I looked over at him, anticipating the moment when men with cameras would jump out from behind the arcade machines.
"I'm not joking around. Follow me, I'll prove it to you"
What else was I going to do? I was curious. He lead me through the room and to another door. This door opened up to a massive space with men in fireman's pants and white t-shirts milling around. At the end of the room were the massive style garage doors indicative of a fire station. Three fire engines sat at each door and men washing them down. A black cat sat on the shoulder of one of the men as he knelt to scrub a tire.

I did not wake up, however, because the dream went on. This is getting sort of long though...

The human brain amazes me. How it can come up with these wild tales. I had a dream last night that went on and on and on, changing as it went.

This dream did the same. I also had a dream about my friend's mother in law and how she was standing over me and critiquing my cooking, that was not fun.
Yes, it's amazing how much information a dream can unpack in only 30 seconds (which is what scientists say is the average length of a dream).

@LindaOHio Scientists aren't always right. 30 seconds does seem quite a short time, especially for dreams that seem to start almost as soon as you close your eyes.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I know you've said 30 second before; but my dreams went on and on. No way it could have been 30 seconds! I disagree with the scientists. lolololol

There is a video that I've seen several times on facebook. A cat wandered into a fire station once and never left. The fire fighters take care of the cat, making sure it's fed and well loved. I think that is why there was a cat in this dream.

@Janet357 Yes, exactly! My dreams seem to do that a lot.
For instance, another part of my dream last night was this :
I was standing in front of a stove in a kitchen that looked a lot like my ex- mother in law's. There was a woman standing over me nagging about the way I cook. The woman, in reality, is the mother in law of my best friend. My best friend (who is an excellent cook) tells me that her mother in law is horrible at cooking.

I have to say, the trees and stream tipped me off. This one seems sort of like a pleasant dream.

It was a lot nicer than other parts of the dream. In other parts of the dream, a friend's mother in law was trying to tell me how to cook and I was not very pleased.

Between you me, and whoever else reads this comment... I embellished just a tiny bit on this re-telling. There were some parts that were foggy.

I don't think there's much meaning behind it, but I could be wrong.
