Another Special Gift Received Today

Noticed the neighbor's daughter across the street was having another yard sale today. These are the neighbors that are both in the assisted living facility. I walked over to see how they were doing. She said that her Mom was a little restless since they are on lockdown. It should be lifted soon. They will be able to take them out to eat or to their home for a visit. That is the good part about assisted living facilities, compared to nursing homes. As I was leaving she gave me this bird plaque. She said her Mom asked to be sure I got it. Tears, but happy tears. She always had this on her dining room wall and we talked about it over a cup of tea. Now I have a part of her in my home. It is a very heavy metal plaque, not sure where I will hang it yet. Very nice of her to remember me. More little things in life.

That is a very nice thing about assisted living, compared to nursing homes! Very nice and sweet gift....that is great that you will have a part of her in your home. And it is always nice to be remembered/thought of :)
