During the present lockdown a groom from the state of Tamil Nadu and the bride from the state of Kerala were to get married at the girl's village in Kerala. The boy didn't have pass to enter the state of Kerala and so he along with the marriage party including his parents and other family members were stopped at the Kerala Tamil Nadu state border.
The boys family requested the authorities to find a solution . Finally the border authorities decided to hold the marriage at the border checkpost itself. The girl and her family was brought to the waiting area of the check post and the marriage was solemnised in the presence of the border check post authorities with only 5 members from both the bride and groom standing close by while others watch the proceedings from a distance.
The girls entry pass to the state of Tamil Nadu was made by the border authorities and she accompanied the groom to his village.
Hope the lockdown has fond memories for people getting married.
Have you witnessed such border marriages?
Was it the right decission?

@Lakshman15 no need of special permission. Just apply online for pass to go to a state

yes I agree with you. When authorities find acceptable solution within the rule book then there is always a happy ending.
