It's Tuesday and usually I start working after the weekend is over. That usually means Monday but yesterday for us was a holiday. It was Memorial Day.
It was a nice day with the family. We cooked out and actually sat down at the dining room table and ate as a family.
The day usually makes me cry at some point because we watch the Memorial Day programs for at least some of the day and to see some of the stories is heartbreaking.
This year they added in the essential workers and first responders from this pandemic. That is what made me cry this year because while we're supposedly reaching the end of the pandemic, these workers are going back to work to get lay off letters. Being closed for so long or not being able to operate as usual a lot of businesses are filing bankruptcy and are laying off many workers.
We talked to a friend at my husband's job on Saturday and while he's back to work, the company is taking precautions. So far, no lay offs. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
Oh well, the day for tears was yesterday. Today is the day of work. I have a ton of computer work to do and I get to sit here and do that while being able to look at my new rose tree.
I saved her from Lowes a few weeks ago and she's just doing great. She still needs a little TLC but she'll be back stronger than ever soon.
What are you up to today?

The numbers vary here. The only thing that gets me is how anxious I get when I go out now. People judge you for not wearing a mask and it irritates me

@Lakshman15 Oh I think they understand it's just they're either going overboard with it or they aren't worried enough. We seem to skip the middle ground

I think we have a better handle on it than we did before. It should bring hope.

Yes it`s sad knowing that a lot of people got out of job because of this virus. I really do hope and pray that they can find the cure for this soon before more companies will close

I don't think there will be a cure. I think there may be a vaccine. As far as they're telling the public, there is supposed to be one by September. Though, this is supposed to be like the cold and flu...it will be back. The question is, will we be ready for it?

@m_audrey6788 It is. Trump supposedly has a team trying to speed up a vaccine and hopefully they pull through.

Sounds like you enjoyed yourselves. Sounds very relaxing to spend time with the family. It really was very hard and hit people very hard. I do not see an end to it yet. What a nice view you have while working at the computer.

I am a bit late to reply to this post. Yes economy has taken a nose dive all across the world. It is good that your friend is still in job
We can only pray and hope for the economy to bounce back.
