What's for lunch today?

Since I'm mostly stuck at home, I'm running out of things to write about. I DID give the kids a shower yesterday as they rode by in the 90 degree heat, and I did get some work done on my book, but that's about it. After a few error messages from MyLot I pretty much gave up, so it wasn't a big MyLot day. I did try something new for lunch recently: hot pea soup (the photo is of a similar ramen experiment) with a large dollop of sour cream in it. It was actually quite good, and I may do it again. What's up in your world?

I love pea soup but never thought to add sour cream. Today I had a big salad with beets, olives, red onion slices, sunflower seeds, and croutons....topped with blue cheese dressing

We're hosting a wake tomorrow and I'm getting a little stressed about social distancing. Any new cases in our state have either flown in or the latest are on a sheep export boat that has berthed. None of these have had any contact with the public so it should be fine and we'll be taking what precautions we can.

What did I have for lunch?? Food, you silly Horse! Now I know why Vanny picks on you so much! I went to the Chuy's over the river since the one in Kentucky hasn't reopened yet. Maybe once they reopen (supposedly tomorrow) Lori and I can get together for lunch. In fact, I'm starting to think this Covid-19 thing was nothing but a government plot to keep us from having lunch together!!!!

It actually "worked." Some day, I will try cold potato/leek soup with sour cream and caviar, like my parents used to have.
