Nice going Wisconsin

So here in Wisconsin they had a court order to overrule the stay at home order. This allowed businesses to open back up on Wednesday May 20th. While some businesses opened immediately some took their time and some are still not open. Some people rushed out to those businesses without a care in the world, many without masks, some not following the suggested social distancing. They had to get out and do their thing no matter the risk. Many crowded the bars that opened up, guess they really needed those drinks. Wednesday May 27th Wisconsin reported there new highest day of reported Covid-19 cases at 599 they also reported their highest day or Covid-19 deaths with 22, bringing the total for the state to 16,460 with 539 deaths. Now to be far it also was the single highest tests given in a day at 10,300 so maybe that has something to do with how many cases were reported but that does have to do with how many deaths. Congrats to us in Wisconsin we can now go out to the open businesses and we can go outside we can get liquored up at the bar and act like fools. We can also get the virus since no one seems to care about being safe. I wonder how many of these people that have it got it from going to a bar and if they think it was worth the drinks at the bar? How many of them are now passing it on to others because they were too dumb to think that was a bad idea? Please people use some common sense as the world starts opening back up. The virus is still out there, and you can still get it if you’re not being safe.

This is exactly why we are hanging back as our country reopens . . . people are running back way too fast. They have been talking about a 2nd wave which I don't doubt will happen - and we are not even done with this first one . There needs to be a lot of problem solving in order to live with this whole virus thing . . . we can't just run back like fools thinking it's all safe again . . . in fact all this crazy reopening has probably just given the virus more pathways to exist. We are still on orders here but I see a lot of people getting too relaxed already for my taste. Ugh. Stay safe over there!!

@Bensen32 I am seeing that in Northern CA, the numbers are going up since easing restrictions, so now they're putting back in some of those restrictions. I am frankly surprised that our state is reopening as much as it is now . . . we were supposed to be the one that would reopen very slowly. And now I am hearing Los Angeles may open some restaurants for dine in this weekend - are you kidding me? I hate to say it but it's like that old saying . . . give an inch, they take a mile . . . people just won't do the smart thing. So in the end, since it's quite obvious that people are not on the same page when it comes to any of this, we just have to keep safe ourselves however we can. Avoid boneheads and bonehead activity .

@much2say Yes, people will think they are not going to get it, that it wont happen to them and then they are the ones that will get it and spread it around to others.

That is why I been being careful about going out and still only going out when I need to. This is going to get worse if people keep acting like idiots. As much as I am ready to get things back open I think it was to early and with no plan at all. I think we will see the number start going up across the US over the next week or so. if people keep doing what they are doing.

It will be interesting to see what the numbers are like in about a month--it will take that long for us to see the hospitalizations-- I have been tracking projections--this one is pretty accurate so far and the projections through September are pretty sobering-- I just think we are in denial--

I can see things getting ready bad if people are not safe about how they deal with things.

Sad, how many are unwilling to just take a little care.

@Bensen32 exactly. Not that hard to find things to do away from people.

If places open up too fast there may well be a spike in the virus which will put things back to square one in that area. Over here loads of people went to one particular area which resulted in a big spike and the local hospital shut due to c19 cases.

Yes, there will be a spike I am sure, I have no doubt about it.

Doesn't the virus take 14 days for symptoms to show? I would think if that is the case then these folks were sick before not because they went out. That said you may see an even higher spike in a couple weeks because of them not social distancing or wearing masks.

I don't know for sure but I thought it was up to 14 days. So these could be some of them or maybe you're right and it has nothing to do with this. I guess we will see the numbers go up if people keep up the way they are.

This was sadly predicted. Some are not taking this seriously enough.
