I want to buy a small rice cooker because when we cook it in the pots, the hot summer weather spoils them easily. I dont want to waste rice so I'm planning on buying the smallest one for our little household. But I dont know what brand to buy because I want a durable rice cooker that would last. Perhaps you can share how long yours have been in use. It will be very helpful to me. Thank you.

I use Panasonic rice cooker and I think it is durable. Actually we have use it for over 16 years and it still works well. No need to have a fix at all. But later its rice container becomes sticky and there is no way to buy a new rice container. This is why I bought another Panasonic rice cooker.

Even if you use rice cooker to cook rice, it will still spoil fast because of the hot weather.

@yoalldudes That's why. I'm using Hanabishi for 2 years now. It seems good.

I bought mine so long ago that I couldn't remember, so I looked. I got it at Nitori (a home furnishings shop in Japan). I think I got it in 2013 because I remember it broke right after my daughter graduated high school.

How long did it last. I doubt that brand can be bought here though. But perhaps Japan made are durable so that is a clue for me.
