I told myself last night that I would start spending more time offline than I do online. Today hasn't been the best practice in that. I should have been offline a few hours ago, but here I am still on the line. That's about to change though. I get online at 7 am, and some days I am not offline until around 5 pm. Now, there are hours that I spend offline in between, but still far too long being online. I'm going to strive to be offline by 1 pm each day, with maybe some online time later on in the day. How long do you spend online? Do you feel like it's taking up your life?

I need to be offline too. I have cleaning to do. The electricity was off earlier and I started but then had to make up for lost time on the internet when the power came back on. I couldn't clean with it off because it was too hot without my fans going. I walked outside and found a bench to sit on in the breeze. No internet and no phones working make a dull day.

I like when the power goes out with the exception of it being too hot. Though of course, it does halt productivity.

@akalinus I miss things like television and internet after awhile, but I can do without it. The bad thing is that the internet is the way I make money, so when it's down, well I don't get to do any earning.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I guess I am addicted to the electricity being on and everything working.

I am online (and offline) throughout the day . . . but admittedly I could be getting way more stuff done in "real life" if I would only focus . It can take up my life if I let it , but I won't let it go that far .

Yes, I feel like it's been taking up time I could and should be doing other things.

I used to be online here until midnight; but then I realized that I was wasting the whole day...Well, not really wasting it; but you understand. Now I'm off here between 4-6. I"m usually on in the morning.

@LindaOHio It really can be. I'll admit that I am here because the money does help me, and I like to be here. I like earning this way because of the conversations. However, even I know that I probably spend a little too much time here.

That is my problem. I get online early in the morning and spend most of the day online. I need to be more disciplined too.

@vsai2008 Today I've spent a little more time offline, but I should probably get offline for the rest of the day I think. It's 2:30 PM here, and in just a few hours I'll be preparing dinner. I want to relax before then.

I am glad you are able to manage both. I feel like I spend too much time, especially as I am writing a book and spend so much time on the computer for that.

I do spend a lot of time online. More than I should probably. I do want to try spend less time online, and I have made some efforts this week.

Good luck with that. It's so easy to spend hours online without even realizing it.
