Was out checking on the bird eggs yesterday and found this 19 inch long feather in the garden. It was huge. I wondered what kind of bird dropped it behind.
Any ideas? I researched and found out this is a turkey vulture (aka buzzard) feather. When I realized what kind it was, I tossed it of course.
You never know what you might find in your yard. This was a first for me. Had to share with you. Have you found a feather before?
There are sayings that it is often a sign from a loved one. I think they are wrong about this feather. But you never know.

Yes, we've found feathers before. Never a buzzard feather.

I`m not sure about the beliefs but I was told that a loved one is visiting you when a butterfly suddenly went inside you home

I sometimes see some feathers but they are from pigeons, nothing unusual and strange
