I think hard cover books are almost a think of the past. But, paperback books will be around forever. Kindle? This is a passing phase, just like a cassette/cassette player and 331/3 record albums. We use to rent videos to see a movie, now we seldom do this. As everything continues to move forward, modern methods will change.

@Spontaneo The only hardback books I'd ever consider buying were for college. They are too expensive.

@Spontaneo It's possibly due to these things being back-lit so there's an artificial light source shining in your eyes constantly.

I agree. Now that I think, Kindle books do tire me.

I’ve got both. I still love the feel of a book, and being able to pass it on to people when I’ve read it. However for lightness and convenience I can’t beat my kindle.

Maybe a person has bookshelves with books they've never read?

Kindle has its advantage and so do the normal books.
