Charlie the cat is very much a challenge

I took him in back in February. His owner was an older gentleman who just couldn't handle how active he was. . . or that was the story I was given. Well he refuses to use a litter box and likes to use the bathroom sink for that. He has been scratching at one of the screens in the bedroom and is starting to tear it up. Sometimes he randomly attacks and bites my ankles. That being said he is also very sweet. My ex adores him and the cat returns those feelings. Even my parents like him and they aren't big fans of cats in general. He isn't a picky eater. He doesn't go anywhere if he runs out the door. He just rolls around on the concrete landing. I have no plan of rehoming him. I do hope he outgrows this crazy behavior though. He is still a kitten at 1 year old.

I would be working on that sink thing. Carol has a good suggestion maybe?

Hopefully he will learn to use the litter box soon. Maybe put one close to the sink.

I don't know how long it takes, for a cat to reach adulthood. Do you suppose maybe 2 years?
