My answer is a strictly no
If you are talking about forums and PTC sites that is .
The pay is very little , It may serve has some extra cash , but it's very hard to make a living from it .
The only choice to earn from online in MY OPINION is , freelancing or online tutoring , ( please list something else in case I missed )
In fact , there are lots of ways you could earn online , you could write your own books and publish it , do surveys or possibly being a YouTuber ?
There are countless number of things we can do online . So it really depends on us what we want to do .

I think one of the best and tangible way is having real products and merchandise to sell that people like and have a strong mass base of followers, customers and repeat customers.

Earnings in online is not easy process but possible if we have unique talent, skills then possible to earn decent amount.
Even lot of games available hear also we earn good amount but skills and hard worke is needed.
