Figures in the fire

It’s been fine here today so we burnt another heap of brush and logs. There is very little left of either heap now. We have smaller ones to burn but these were the two big heaps. We’re going to the local Indian restaurant tonight for dinner. We have three local restaurants but one is only doing take-aways until July. I’m not really fussed about Indian but we want to share our custom among the local eateries. It’s highly likely I’ll have butter chicken as I know I’ll enjoy that. Maybe I’ll take a photo of my meal – if I remember. The photo shows a section of yesterday’s fire at its peak. It looks to me like some prehistoric dragon. Can you see anything in the photo other than burning wood?

I see a big crocodile from the tail. I will check to see the photo of your meal. I made an Indian dinner a few days ago, pakora as starters and curried chicken with rice.

@JudyEv Prawn korma sounds very good. We had smoked salmon with a home made dill bread and sour cream for dinner.

I didn't take a photo after all. I forgot to take my camera. I ended up having prawn korma. It was very nice.

It's nice that you are going to an Indian restaurant. I have not tried that yet here although I have dined in an Indian restaurant in Singapore.

Do you like Indian? I should imagine it is closer to Asian cuisine than to European.

@JudyEv not really because Indian food is spicy and it goes against my acidic stomach. I had a taste of chicken biryani twice in Singapore.

@Alexandoy Vince likes biryani. He had it quite often in Nepal when he went there by himself.

I can see that too. I love the textured look of the log - like snakeskin or something similar.

I see a wild elephant ( right standing) on top of a crocodile. The photo needs to be framed. Looks like a work of art.

The first thought that popped into my head when I saw your photo--and before I read your post--was that I could see the shape of a dragon! So yes...I saw it!!!!

I think I see your dragon too. I see things in anything that is uneven, tile floors. Week that's not uneven but usually a mix of light and dark colors. I see mostly faces. A week ago we were told maybe restaurants would open by July and then this week it was decided they could reopen yesterday at limited capacity and extra rules to stay safe. So my daughter is again serving on the inside rather than only doing car side.

@JudyEv we have signs up in our store to keep six feet from other people. I find that easy when in line but not when shopping. I'm guessing that's because it's still animal for us being still a new habit.

We don't have a lot of restrictions left now but social distancing is the big one and hard to enforce.

It does look like a dragon. Our town doesn't allow burning wood or anything on our property, but our new neighbors didn't realize that. Their smoke from burning wood nauseated me.

Yeah I can see some monstrous figure there but I am not sure what it is. Perhaps you are right about the dragon thing you saw there. Anyway good thing that you have started opening up with your local economies to start up already. In my place it still is a bit restrictive that we have deliveries of almost everything else you need to line up for w very long queues at groceries and other essentials.

It looks like a Medusa. It's funny how we see things in wood, when I was a kid I thought the grain in my closet door looked like a face..and it was kind of a scary one at that.

Seeing faces in things in a bedroom aren't very comforting when you're a kid.

Are you working on a new Rorschach test? Thinking at it, pyromancy being an art a lot older than psychoanalysis, the Evans test may be very successful. Long time (years) that I have not been to an Indian restaurant. Enjoy your dinner.

@JudyEv We have been freed from home on May 12th and I have since beaten my records for footsteps/day in a month. Except a fall during a bicycle ride (something also forbidden during our confinement), I am fine, thank you. And forgive me for Rorschach and co, I realize times to times how many useless things I have learned.
