Resistant

I have such a hard time getting in here I am resistant to even try. And it has been a really hot day today. When I go away from the house early in the day, I get very little done on the yard. I will probably go out about 7:30 and do a little, because I bought more veggies to plant. My friend and I met at the lake, and drank our ice water. It is relaxing to look at the water. That is what kept me from mowing this morning. Here the temperature has been 95 F (35 C) for a couple of days. The people who harvest the hay in the empty lot swathed it today. We are eating rather light. Trying for plenty of fruits especially. I make meat spreads, etc. with things like left over roast or canned chicken. For tonight I have also chopped green grapes, mangoes and apples together, dressed with a little honey and lemon juice. While I am myLotting I have a fan and air conditioner in my office. I am cracking and eating pistachios. Such an exciting life.

That's so hot! We have the a/c on and this morning I had to put the fireplace on to warm up.

I am getting errors more and more often here, it is a pain, I try to be here every day, but it is depressing. We are having now all the rain that did not come down since the past December, also depressing.

Today, Sunday, I am having an easier day right now. I am ready for us to have some rain as it has been a couple of months.

We've had the same temps here too. I also try to eat light when it's hot, especially when I'm out in the heat.

It was a little cooler today. I have cooked up some stuff for later in the week that will be good in small batches.

Yikes! That's too hot! A light dinner sounds perfect on a hot night. Enjoy the nuts!

These are common temperatures here. Yes, eating nuts is better for me than eating donuts, which I would also like to do.

I went down the lake today, also. It's a view that always lifts my heart. We ate light today also, there's not that much going on here. Jay and Jim are putting the siding on our house tomorrow.

Just looking at a lake is very cooling. I hope they get the siding done.

I'm sorry you're still having problems getting on to the site. It gets pretty old after a while.

When it's hot you don't feel like doing anything. Having a cool drink and lots of fruits does help to cool off .
