Poetry: When does an empty life become full?

Can such a large knife ever cut into emptiness?

The emptiness of enduring a long unexplained life, while sliding along gingerly, on a long carving knife, while heading allegedly towards the ledge of God's hedge, trapped, wedged so tightly into myself, that l couldn't budge. The rusticness of blandness belies the emptiness of fullness. All is seen, not as it is, but as it is not. Anything can only be seen as it is with eyes of truth. Everything else lives in the emptiness, with its eyes closed. The beginning of understanding of love is a love of emptiness. At the centre of emptiness, sits not more emptiness, but love. Surrounding emptiness is also love, when you hold the love gently in you, emptied fully of yourself, so it remains only love. When does an empty life become full? Only when it stops enduring life painfully trying to understand. Understanding does not come from trying to fill up our brain. Understanding comes forth from an empty mind and a full heart. @amitkokiladitya That's good, because I have been told that my writing can be a bit hard to follow at times, or to understand what I am getting at.

Thanks. Yes, l agree. I like to write about love and truth here too, and to encourage people to think more about their connection. Love and truth are connected together, l think.

We tend to chase mirages but that leads to an empty pursuit. We need to introspect, fill our lives with those that matter, worth recollecting, to enrich our path further. Too soon the material possessions have no real value and emptiness pervades our lives. A life filled with love and compassion can only enrich and fill our lives with positive energy - siva

Let's hope such an enriched life is not wasted either. Only an afterlife would make an enriched life truly enriched.

@innertalks Yes Steve, I would just say "your guess is as good as mine"! However, I have felt the influence of those who have left in my life. Maybe, we are not done yet after kicking our buckets here. Could linger on in another energy form - siva

@innertalks An empty life becomes full when you have found the love you have been searching for and you are fully satisfied and there is no more loneliness.

Perhaps the emptiness is absorbed back into the fullness? The emptiness is within the fullness, and the fullness is within the emptiness. Both are part of love being relative to us, either empty or full in us, according to whether we turn its tap on in ourselves, or not.
