But You Don’t Look Disabled

But you don’t look disabled... Probably one of the most annoying things I’ve heard. Am I supposed to wear a sign, stating I have a disability! Sorry that’s not the way the world works lol. You can’t exactly see muscles degenerating, until it gets to a certain point and I’m doing my best to not let it get to that point.

I have heard those irritating words. And they were said by youngsters to older people in public transportation. I shame them in loud words as I have found it is the only way.

Except that those "youngsters" don't care whatever you tell them.

I'm sorry for the ignorance of others. We never know what another person is dealing with. It would be a wonderful world if we would just be kind.

Even if you wore a sign (i.e. a disabled parking permit) you would still be judged. Twenty-three years and I am still judged. In some cases no support from my own family. I'm still trying to convince the government.

Yes, that’s generally when it happens, I’m in the handicap parking spot, and people are making comments like that. As if I do t belong there! I’m sorry you know from personal experience! Thank you for understanding....

I think you should take it as a compliment rather than an insult.

I use a can and a walker; so it's obvious with me; but I understand what you mean.
