Can it be helpful during the pandemic? I am not sure to some of you, guys. I think this robot can talk to us when feeling gloomy or if there is no one to talk to. Thus, it is a good companion. But then, it is worth $1, 500. What do you think? Image Credit: techcrunch.com

I'd prefer to talk with my pets. We have 2 kitties that my husband brought from US.

It seems that it is not practical to buy it. I have two dogs here and it is better to train them.

It seems that it is just something like smart speaker but with a robot figure. I have Amazon Echo Dot 2 and an Ali speaker. Now I usually like to let them remind me of doing something. Basically they are just the searching engines with audio control.

Uhm... you know there are intelligent computer programs that are programmed to carry on conversations with people that can be accessed online, right? Here is one site, if you're interested in talking with a computer.
Cleverbot - Chat with a bot about anything and everything - AI learns from people, in context, and imitates

@DaddyEvil I think it is better than my mobile app Virtual Talk. It is not accurate in answering some questions.

@Shavkat You're welcome. That one is still learning how to talk to people. It ignored some of my questions and gave me stupid answers to other questions. (I ask it how long it had been talking to people. It said it started talking to me a few seconds ago. I ask it what was the date when it was brought online. It told me it wasn't a website.) Other things it did fine on. As long as she isn't going to ask it difficult questions, it will be fine.

I think a cat would be cheaper.

I can't afford such an expensive robot now.Though it looks cute well,do we really need such robots in the first place at this age of hyperconnectivity when we can chat and talk with anyone all over the world even from our bed.

I also think that it can be used by children when studying. But then, it is too pricey. I cannot squander my money for it. Perhaps it needs to lower down the total cost.

If you have no one to talk to then a pet dog would be the best companion. They understand how you feel and will try to make you happy.

I have two dogs here and they are my stress-reliever. I lost my furry cat and wish to have one in the future.
