My Lavender

I planted a pot of lavender last year. It was so beautiful and smelt so relaxing. When the winter came, I thought it died. I didn´t throw it although the pot was bald.
Last Spring, it started to have leaves. I keep on watering my lavender as well as talking to all my plants on my balcony. I know, I am a bit crazy but I really talk to my plants maybe that is why they grow well.
This morning, I saw that one of the flowers in my lavender was broken. I cut it from the plant and kept on rubbing it between my fingers. Wow! It was smelling good that I felt relaxed and wanted to sleep. Now I know I have to get one of the lavender flowers and rub it on my nose before I go to bed tonight. I don´t have lavender essential oil anymore. It is time for me to order it again.
Do you love the smell of lavender? It reminded me of the Yardly lavender soap I have bought in London years ago. It reminded me too of my aromatherapy oil course ages ago.
I hope you have a wonderful Saturday. Thanks for reading.

Oh, I have no idea. Maybe you can check this online if lavender is cat friendly. I know that the valerian plant will make the cats wild. I have experienced that when I was drinking a herbal tea which contains valerian herb. I was cat-sitting at that time at home and the cat went wild. I was scared. Thanks @rebelann

@thelme55 I've had a lavender plant two different times. Once in Vegas, but I think it was too hot for it to survive. The last time was a couple of years ago. We had a yard and it was in the sun but after a while, it started to die too.

It's winter time here in NZ and the pot of lavender outside the front door is no longer bearing any flower.

They are very beautiful in the picture. Good thing you kept it. That is great how you can sleep after rubbing it between your fingers. It is a nice smell. i remember the Yardley lavender soap but never used it.

Amazing how beautiful the flowers are, the color and how nice it smells, I tried to plant it once but it didn't work, probably because I don't have enough sun in the yard

Now that I'm older I have become very sensitive to strong smells and must stay away from flowers, scented laundry detergent, etc.

I see @LindaOHio. I don´t like a strong scented laundry detergent. The original lavender scent is still okay for me. Thank you and have a nice Sunday.

I am not aware of flowers with a smell. It is only Sampaguita that I know which has a nice scent.
