I was given some cash for my birthday and I knew straight away what I would like to buy so on Thursday my wife and I had a drive to the centre where they make concrete statues etc. The place is absolutely brilliant with such a wide selection of things available you can be tempted to buy too much. However you have to limit yourself due to the weight of these things.
So I bought two statues of Buddha to join my other ones in the garden. However they are not painted at all so I bought the paint and yesterday set about painting them. It was quite pleasant in the garden in the sun. I gave the statues two under coats and then applied the gold over the statues with a sponge. I am pretty pleased with the results.

@Alexandoy I am not Buddhist in fact I have become very disillusioned by religion and the evils hidden by so called religious people especially priests who rape and sexually molest children whilst being in a position of trust. I would go as far as saying I hate them.

I laughed with my wife I had quite a bit of gold paint on my hands and told her from now on I wish to be known as Gold Finger!

That's very handsome. I have a Hindu god in my Bast grove, near where two of my cats lie.
