Cleaning The Refrigerator

United States
June 17, 2020 10:52am CST
I'm a bit late saying hello today but I got involved in a project that I didn't anticipate. After I had my breakfast and coffee I started cleaning out the refrigerator since tomorrow is trash day. We didn't have a lot of stuff to throw out but there are always those random containers that get pushed to the back of the fridge. So, my quick little task became a project. I decided to take out the shelves, wash and clean them along with the whole inside of the refrigerator. Now it's sparkly clean and I'm happy but now I'm tired. Gone are the days when I could zip through a chore like this and have plenty of energy left over to do other things. Here I sit ready to myLot and relax a little before I miss my window of opportunity and the day disappears. Sorry I had my coffee without you guys today

You remind me of the things I should be doing, including laundry. I feel like I blink and it's time to do laundry again. Same goes for dishes, too. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day. I'll be here and there today, but for now I'm logging off to get a few things done.

@marlina No, they really don't. The dishwasher is unloaded, the stove cleaned and the laundry is now in the dryer. I have got to get better about making a schedule for all these chores.

I have to do a bit of that today . . . I go shopping tomorrow, so I need to make as much room as possible! We already found a container of gross rice sitting in the back. It's one of those projects that feel like a total accomplishment in the end.

Those containers that got lost in the back are as much of a mystery as missing socks in the dryer

I cleaned my Florida fridge before we left and the one in CT was cleaned before we left. Makes going anywhere a chore on the "things to do list" before you leave the house. At least yours is done until the next time. I keep up with a quick wipe down before groceries arrive.

Mine is always clean but it hasn't had a good cleaning in awhile. I had no intentions of pulling it apart this morning but once I got started it was like a snowball going downhill. Now it's good for awhile and I just need to keep it wiped out weekly. Since it's only my daughter and myself we don't have any messy spills, etc.

@Marilynda1225 That's the way I do it, too. Hubs is neater than I am, and I'm a neat freak.

You're forgiven. You were an eager beaver with that fridge. One project you won't need to tackle for a while.

I have to space out my chores now too. I certainly can't go all day like I used to.

I did that before I left Florida and I am afraid I need to do it here at home as well. It does feel good once it is done.

Little things like that are nice to get done now and then. Now it should be a while before you have to do it again.

Good morning Miss Marilyn. Cleaning the fridge may take an hour or so you have to.clean.every inch of it.

It wasn't very dirty so it was fairly easy to do but it takes time. Removing the shelves and the drawers and putting everything back is time consuming.

@Marilynda1225 I hate that part of cleaning. We have our holiday of Passover in around April and we have to get rid of stuff in the frig and clean it out and defrost it and it is a big job no matter if the frig is big or not. I understand what you are saying.
