Sharing a sunshine marigold flower with you, it brightens my day! I call the yellow and orange blooms sunshine flowers.
Last week I wrote about my 90 year old 2nd cousin that was burned over 80% of his body, after his tractor exploded. They removed the ventilator a couple of days ago and are monitoring his progress.
Been following his progress with his daughter. She and her sister were finally able to visit him for the first time last night. Due to COVID, there have been no visitors.
The doctor said it would be beneficial to his healing process to see his family. They were both so relieved to see him. He doesn't know he was burned. Due to the 3rd and 4th degree burns, most of the nerves in his legs and feet were damaged. They are hoping some of the feeling returns.
Taking this a day at a time. Still keeping him sedated most of the time. However when he is awake he talks to the nurses and is trying to understand where he is and why. Most of the burns were to his legs and feet.
Sharing a raindrop rose from Dustin's garden. This was taken after a rain a week ago. I love the drops on the roses. Received a phone call with not good news...

Your cousin is really lucky to survive a tractor blast and treated well by the hospital. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

@CarolDM hope he recovers. I shall keep him in my prayers. By the way how did the tractor blast happen? It's so rare.

Oh no! Yes, I do think seeing his family will help, though I know that his daughters will have to answer some pretty tough questions. I'm glad he seems to be doing okay though.

@CarolDM It's a good sign that he seems to be aware of things. I know the burns are bad, but it could have been so much worse, and I am glad that it wasn't.

I can see why the flower brightens your day. Wow, that is so horrible that the tractor exploded and your cousin was burned over 80% of his body. This virus has caused so much pain in itself and for them not to be able to visit must have been very hard on all of them. So glad they could finally visit him. That must be horrible for all of them, but, especially him because he is not aware of it.
