Balloons and Bacon

This morning, I stopped by the grocery store to pick up a pack of balloons. One of my co-workers was celebrating a birthday at the office, so we were all pitching in to decorate her office before she arrived. When I got to the grocery store, I assumed the balloons would be with the gift wrap, gift bags and bows section. But they weren't. So I set out in search of a store employee. As luck would have it, I saw two managers talking to each other down one of the aisles. I approached and asked where the balloons were. One of them said, "They're on the bacon aisle." Then he turned to the other manager standing there and said, "Can you show this gentleman where the balloons are?' And I said, "No need, I know exactly where the bacon aisle is. It's my favorite aisle in the entire store! But it's really weird that you would put the balloons by the bacon." Both managers burst out laughing. "Not the bacon aisle," one of them said. "They're on the baking aisle. B-A-K-I-N-G." The smile quickly faded from my face. "You mean there's no balloons by the bacon? I'm sad. You had me at bacon!" They both laughed and I went on my way. I grabbed the balloons from the baking aisle, and then figured, why not, I'll go ahead and get some bacon too. Heading up the checkout register, I passed the managers again. I held up the balloons and the pack of bacon, and said, "Yep, the balloons were right where you said they would be, by the bacon!" Have you ever misheard something someone has told you, that either led to confusion or a humorous situation? You get bonus points if it involved bacon! lol
