I am not gender biased. Merely 90 percent perhaps, which you will agree makes me a very just and fair person. This post incidentally is inspired by Eva James' response. So it is about cleaning and settling. When dad is not around...I accomplish a lot. When he is around, lethargy sets in. Issue is also with him. He is moving inside the house without considering I am cleaning the room or completely undoes what I have painstakingly done like folding clothes. Its like, where is my that shirt, it should be here. That pant, I forgot some monies in that..you get the picture? So yeah...the thought of having men around 24/7 is dreadful. I am lazy but this is worse. Yes, they do those small plumbing jobs, and electrical jobs, which even I can do. Just that they feel less macho if we the women do it. Electronics I am a zero. So I do need dad for that, and a little bit of electrical and plumbing. But in India services of such folks are damn cheap. This being the case, do you think its time to dominate menfolk? (Guys...this is just for fun...not meant to hurt you or start any revolution).

Hahaha so now my friend you have thrown down the gauntlet. 1.So yes I agree with you the woman is the boss in the house! We let her believe that. 2.Constant nagging is a lifelong skill of women. 3. Why do you think men generally die before women? It is because they are trying to get away from the nagging. 4. If we say we will do something we do not need constant reminding every six months. 5. Just because you never admit you’re wrong doesn’t mean you’re always right! 6. When you ask if your bottom looks big in this don't get upset when we say yes. You want the truth or a lie? 7. When does nagging start? As soon as I wake up! 8. When does nagging stop? As soon as she goes to bed! 9.I haven't spoken to my wife for years .... I don't like to interrupt her when she's talking. 10. Something for a nagging wife to remember! Silence is Golden. Duct tape is silver! PS. I pray my wife never sets eyes on this post !

@garymarsh6 I hope your wife will not read. My husband is "The Boss", may be because he was my boss when we met, so nothing changed. He is the boss, the boss is always right, when he takes a decision it is wasted time to discuss. All that said, I accepted this situation since day 1 so I am a happy woman.

@LadyDuck yes you are a lovely couple Anna.Oh lord my wife would give me an ear bashing if she read that but you have known me long enough to know I am joking! It is all to do with compromise and learning to accept each others opinions, likes and dislikes.

I think both genders have their own way of doing things but it sounds like your dad refuses to respect you and that is a shame. Perhaps you could simply let him fold his own clothes if that is allowed in your country.

It is allowed. I tried that. Bed becomes a heap of clothes. He ends up sleeping on them. So kinda...that is how men are. So grrrrrr..

I agree with you @garymarsh6 I've met men who were clean freaks and their wives only cook while they'll clean up the kitchen after the meal.

I prefer to consider my husband as my better half, he has skills I don’t possess and he adores me, what more could I ask?

That's not a matter of men and women; it's a matter of respect and concern for what others have done. Someone should not mess up a load of folded clothes when it's obvious that someone took time to make everything neat and orderly.

Both men and women are equal responsibilities. Now women also doing all works like men. Men also participate in women work. So both are equal. In some places only it should be get improved.
