An Interesting Twist

I entered a giveaway for a weighted blanket. I probably entered before I was gifted one by my daughter. The company doing this giveaway is called NEUU and they sell health care products. They write a blog and send out weekly newsletters.
For some reason I have been receiving each weekly newsletter 4 times. I emailed them and told them that. They're trying to figure it out. I got it 3 times today.
In their last email they ended it asking how we are helping people. I responded to that question in the same email advising of the 4 newsletter emails. I said I was writing a novel that consisted of abuse, though not physical but control. I said that if it helped just one person then I've done my job.
As you know I have been trouble getting back to doing the final touches on this novel. In today's email the person I have been corresponding with at NEUU told me to advise when my book is published and he will promote it on their website and on their Facebook page. Well, if that isn't motivation I don't know what is. This is just one example of the importance of networking online.
I am currently doing a BETA read for a member of our writing group. THEN I will get back to my novel. I know I've said it before and hopefully I can push myself to actually do it.
This was a nice start to my day.

I think that was a good bit of motivation to finish it. Now just to get all the distractions around you to a minimum.
If you're looking for editing software, I would suggest Prowritingaid. They are very thorough with grammar and even suggest word replacements for better readability. They also grade your book on the same scale used for the school materials.

I am pretty sure it's as polished as it's going to get. I have had one person read it for me and made corrections and suggestions. I just want to do one more read through and write the darn synopsis which I'm not sure how to do. Plus I have to reword the query letter as it is supposed to be the blurb on the back of the book. It doesn't seem like much but I'm such a procrastinator.

@patgalca Oh, but the blurb is so hard to write. I can understand procrastination since that is such an important part of the book, you want to make sure it's compelling.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I already wrote a query letter when I met with a writing coach. She didn't say anything about the query letter only that she wants to read my book. I have since learned through a great YouTube Channel (Book Ends Literary Agency) that the giveaway of the ending should not be in the query but in the synopsis. The query should be like the blurb on the back of the book. You should check out that youtube channel. It's very informative.

Do you need a kick in the pants to get it done? Consider yourself kicked.

That's wonderful that they will promote your book. I'm sure it will be a big help to those who are in such dire circumstances.
