Hot and Humid in Office

Up for a story? The upstairs a/c has not worked from day one. My office felt hotter than a whore in heaven. My office has 3 fans of which are all worn out. For example, one fan on my desk, one fan on my floor and one ceiling. I could only crack my window a little as the roommate's pet feline would jump out. It has been hot and humid. The local store had fans on sale. I saw a Comfort Zone window fan that seemed really nice. So, I bought the fan. As soon as I got home, maintenance showed up with a brand-new a/c unit. I guess good timing. I told them to install the new a/c in the hallway. I asked if they could install my new window fan in my office while they were here. With both in place, I am not longer miserable. I don't expect much from my landlord. But, there are times when something really is needed. photo by pexels
