What is going on?

I said in my las post I didn’t want to get into all that is going on in the world. To be clear I guess I should have said the US. It’s hard enough to try and keep up with all that is going on here right now.
The other day, sh.. for brains Pelosi gave a folded flag to the family of George Floyd as some kind of honor. Now I know a lot of people were saying that was disrespectful to service members and their families. So, for those that don’t know that is not only a thing they do for military members. It in my opinion is disrespectful to all Americans. It has always been a thing to show respect to honor someone for there honorable service to the country and I do not understand how George Floyd had honorable service to his country.
It does not offend me as a former Marine but more as a law abiding American. It’s offensive that this guy who has a history of criminal behavior is honored. Do I think it was wrong the man was killed, of course I do. Should the Cop who did this be held accountable for his actions, hell yes he should, but should we be honoring someone who is a criminal, hell no.
Recently a man was shot and killed in Atlanta, I believe it was. From what I know of the story is a man was drunk and sleeping in his car in a Wendy’s drive thru. The police were called and when dealing with him and about to arrest him for drunk driving he resisted. In the scuffle the man got the cops taser and tried to tase the cop. The cop shot him in the back as the guy was running away.
Here are my thoughts on it from what I know. Did the cop need to shoot him or not? The man resisted arrest but was he a threat as he ran away. Maybe he was not a treat to the cop at the time but was he a treat to others? Were there others in the area? I don’t know the answer to that question but if he was then maybe the cop was in the right since his job is to protect society not just himself.
There were many opportunities to avoid the whole situation. Maybe the guy shouldn’t have been out drinking and driving, he could have not resisted. From the video I seen the cops were professional and non-aggressive up until the point he resisted.
The real kicker to this story is how the mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms was quick to call it wrong and the cop should be brought up on murder charges. As a mayor how can you claim that with no investigation happening at that point? Shouldn’t the cop have the same rights as others to a fair trail or have we now gotten to the point where now one gets a fair trial anymore?
No justice, No peace, what a total joke that little saying has become. Why don’t they really say what they mean. “No revenge, Anarchy will follow”. There are to many out there that just want to see the world burn and have no respect for anyone around them. They are just using all this as an excuse to cause further issues.
I’m sorry I don’t remember where I seen the video or what it was all about but there was a 14 year old white girl who asked the mixed race adults “do you have hope for our future”. I thought to myself, what would be my answer to that?
Since this is much longer than I thought it would be. I will answer that in another post to follow.

To answer your title question my answer is total insanity is what is going on. I agree with you whole heartedly. George Floyd was no hero, Nancy Pelosi is a true disgrace and Rayshard put himself in his position.
No one wants accountability unless you are white or wearing blue. I call BS on that.

She is a disgrace and I could come up with a lot more words that would not be allowed on this site.
I'm tired of all the blame going to the cops. These are people who are putting themselves in a bad situation by their own dumb choices in life. I do get there are bad cops out there and bad situations out there but seems all the latest situations were ones that could have been avoided if these people were not doing things they shouldn't have been doing.
