What did you have for lunch today?

That sounds good to me. I haven't had BBQ in too long.

@TheHorse There was nothing in the taste of the food that made it taste particularly Brazilian, it was just the way they presented the food to you. First of all, it's a flat price for the meal. Once they seat you, they give you little round coasters, green on one side and red on the other. Then, all throughout your dining experience, the wait staff bring by food to your table. They have about a dozen different kinds of meat that they bring out on long skewers, and if you want some, you flip your coaster to green and they come to you plate and slice off meat. If you want them to skip you, you turn your coaster over to red. They just continually do this during your entire dining experience. And you don't order sides to go with the meat, they have what they call a salad bar that you go up and get your sides. Kind of like a buffet of side dishes. I can't even name all the types of meats I had, there were so many. But I definitely loved the filet mignon, the bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin, the lamb chops, and the chorizo sausages the most. For sides I had garlic mashed potatoes, black beans and rice, asparagus, tomato bisque soup, and a selection of olives and cheeses from the salad bar. And at the end we had a big chocolate fountain brought to our table where we dipped fresh fruit and cheeses. It was all very fancy, and the food was absolutely delicious!

What made the taste Brazilian? You've piqued my interest!

@TheHorse They were prepared by using the stove after my relatives and myself went to buy the food at a supermarket.

Yikes! I'd never heard of that. Salmon patties sound good, though. Did you fry them?

@kobesbuddy I'm glad you were able to improvise. I would have fried them like lattkes, as I don't have a microwave.

@TheHorse The salmon patties were browned a bit, then covered with cream of mushroom soup. It was suppose to bake 45 minutes at 375 degrees, but the over stopped working. Thus, I had to use the microwave. Jay was happy with how dinner turned out, I was glad. The garlic toast I had to brown it in a frying pan, isn't that crazy? LOL

Heh. Did you have a big dinner? I ALMOST stopped for a Big Mac Meal yesterday. I think it's been six months since I had "junk food." My body craves in every few months.

@TheHorse my wife made lasagna! so yes, big dinner.

Sounds like a decent day. Was the spinach hot or cold? I like the idea of adding cheese to it.

@TheHorse yes, the taste is almost the same except that the quail egg is very small like the size of a playing marble.

Sounds good to me. Do quail eggs taste like chicken eggs? I've never had them.

I made it home safely. I may have (canned) pea sup for lunch today!

I enjoy fried rice. Is Indonesian fried rice different from the more familiar (to me) Chinese fried rice?

@TheHorse yes different. That is way many say nasi goreng

I like both Indian and Thai curries

That sounds like my pattern when I eat out. Sushi is one of my favorite breakfasts.

People seemed a bit grumpier there than at the grocery stories I've been visiting. But I got most (but not all) of what I sought and made it home unshot and unstabbed.
