Happy Monday everyone!! we have a beautiful sunny morning here and I'm ready to have my breakfast and second cup of coffee. But, before I do, I wanted to pop on and say hi.
The weekend came and went in a flash. I spent more time outside than inside and it's nice to sit and read and relax. Even the pups were happy to be outside and enjoy some fresh air.
My granddaughter got a summer job at the Dollar Tree so she worked a few hours both Sat and Sun. She came by on Sat to tell us all about it and she was as excited as if she had gotten a job paying a million dollars. I guess getting her first job with a real paycheck is exciting when you're 18 yrs. old.
Yesterday was Fathers Day and I hope all the dads here had a wonderful day. It was very quiet here in our neighborhood. Everyone was either inside or gone for the day. There wasn't even the hint of a barbecue in the air. It was so quiet it was eerie.
Now I have to buckle down and catch up on my notifications and see what I've missed the past two days.
We're also waiting for our grocery delivery which will be here sometime between 11:30am and 1:30pm. Not as big a delivery as we've had in the past and it seems as if things are getting easier to find and not so many things were out of stock. We didn't even have to wait more than a few days for a delivery whereas last month it was at least two weeks.
Hope everyone is having a good day

Celebrations around the world are going in a quiet way amidst this virus crisis.
First job is always so exciting and fun. I can feel your granddaughter's excitement.

It would be exciting for your grand-daughter. Good for her. And I'm glad the shopping is getting easier there.

Perfect timing - I am having coffee right now while reading your post . Getting a first job is exciting! It seems all celebrations this year will be rather quiet. I am still going out for groceries, but like you I am finding that these days I am getting less of a load - and most things do seem to be available now. Enjoy your day too - and week!

It seems some thing are getting closer to normal. I've noticed that the items I've always ordered on Vitacost are back in stock for the most part, maybe there aren't anymore hoarders .... how nice that would be.

That's wonderful your granddaughter got a job and her first paycheck. It seemed quiet around here too for Father's Day.
That's great you didn't need to wait so long for a time slot for your grocery delivery and they weren't out of stock.
It's a good day here too.

Congrats to your grand daughter..my college age nephew was able to work in his field last summer, but couldn't get the same job this year due to Covid, so he has opted to do nothing this summer..he is so spoiled.

It sound like you had an enjoyable weekend. It seems like the delivery services are getting more workers, or else they are better managing things.
