Heart Attack on a Plate!

Last night my husband wanted ribeye steaks for dinner. He wanted to use up the steaks we ordered from Omaha Steaks, before we go back to our much better steaks from our butcher.
He grilled (that’s his job) and I did the rest. We had baked potatoes with sour cream and chives from my garden.
I also made roasted brussel sprouts with garlic, cayenne pepper, a bit of sea salt, and fresh ground pepper. I finished them off with Parmesan cheese and honey.
It was definitely a heart attack on a plate but sooooo worth every bite! Unfortunately, I could only finish half.
Do you barbecue at your house?

@DianneN We are going to BBQ on the fourth of July weekend. My three grandchildren that live in Great Britain will not be here in July because of the virus and they loved BBQ at our house. So my wanting to BBQ was gone. They are going to be a lot bigger when hopefully I see them next summer.

Even if I take out the Non-veg options out of that, it sounds delicious.
Your health and walk routine would hopefully keep you away from heart troubles.

Yes and I too am trying to follow the moderation thing.
As an example, I did had a proper dinner yesterday but ate half of what I normally have.
Sometimes I skip or have less food at night, if I do not feel like having it, instead of overloading myself.

I'll take such a tasty steak dinner like that any day ! We don't bbq a lot (but Hubby wants to get a whole new bbq set up). But we did bbq a couple weekends ago. We did the steaks and corn - with potato salad . . . and then did smores with the kids for dessert!

@DianneN sometimes we just get it straight out of the barbecue pit, grill or what not especially when me and the boys are drinking outside and beside whatever is cooking

I love charcoal grills the most, but we gave ours to my brother. We only use our gas BBQ grill these days. I do have a 6 burner gas range top in my kitchen, but grilling meat makes too much of a mess on it. I grill veggies on it on rainy days.

i think there is little to no fat content in that dish, am i right? you and your husband grilled and roasted, so maybe the fats of the meat drained down.
i believe your food is not leading to having heart attack. it is so nutritious.
for us here, maybe i should have carbohydrates in the form of rice.
i cannot eat that kind of food.

We shouldn't be eating that food too often. It's loaded with bad fat - the meat, the butter, and the sour cream on the baked potatoes.
Everything in moderation is okay in my book, but this dinner was a potential killer, albeit delicious.

@DocAndersen So do we, now that we gave one away to a neighbor. lol
We keep looking for that perfect electric grill, but no luck.
We only use our gas grill now. We had it hooked up to a gas line recently installed for the gas fireplace. We gave our Weber to my brother, but the Hibachi is somewhere in the basement.

@LowRiderX Now that we are home and don't dine out anymore, we grill about 3-4 times a week.
