Curbside Pick-Up

United States

Happy Thursday Everyone! another blue sky sunny day here in my little corner of the myLot world. I'm working on my second cup of coffee and have some time to chat. My daughter is working from home today and she only has to work half a day. She's supposed to get off at 1pm and then we're going to have lunch and then go to Sams Club for a curbside pick-up. It's wonderful that Sams Club has started curbside. A little late to the game (so to speak) as they should have been doing this all along and keeping as many people out of the store as possible. They were offering pick-up but you had to go into the store and they would bring your groceries to you. The only thing they wouldn't offer for pick-up was meat. That you had to go into the store and purchase yourself. Now they're doing it all curbside including meat. I'm looking forward to the ride and getting out of the house for awhile. Should be easy peasy

We are no more in lockdown, we have to go inside and buy our food now, social distancing, mask and only a maximum of people in the store. I feel safe.

Oh wow, when did your lockdown end? I have read that Switzerland has done very well to flatten the curve!

@LadyDuck Certain countries did very well because their people complied . . . they did indeed flatten the curve. People take care of each other and their communities . . . I'm so glad that your country did this. Unlike our country where we are a mess . . . such a divide in people - unbelievable. And our leaders lie . . . they tell us we have flattened the curve . . . they certainly couldn't have been talking about "our" country ???

@much2say Our lockdown ended on June 19th. The authorities did a good job to flatten the curve, but Swiss people also did a good job respecting the rules. I see that people wear their mask inside the stores, some tourists do not, but the local customers ask them immediately to put their mask on.

Hello Miss Marilyn! It somehow offers convenience to its customers. I think, buying meats yourself is a must so that you will know its texture and quality.

We are once again having the same weather as you. It's such a beautiful day with low humidity. We use Costco these days and are thrilled with Instacart. I'm glad you have the option of curbside pickup with Sam's Club.
