Party time?

Did you hear about the Texas family that had a surprise birthday party for one of the family members? On May 30th they decided to have a party for one of the family and 25 people join in the fun. Then shortly after 18 of them tested positive for Covid-19. Two of them in their 80’s ended up hospitalized. Seriously during all this did you really need to gather 25 people for a party? Seems to me an unnecessary risk. I wonder what some people must be thinking sometimes. I guess the good news is it sounds like they are all still alive, at least for now. I guess I should think about having some lunch sometime soon since it is noon now. Hope your day is going well.

There are some people who just don't care, or who are ignorant enough to think that this isn't a serious matter.

I'm not saying they are stupid but they were not being very smart.

@Bensen32 Another word I'd use is selfish. Selfish, lacking common sense...

There are people who just aren't believing how serious this is.

@Bensen32 Sadly, that is true. And there are a lot of people around here that refuse to wear marks.

@simone10 I don't wear a mask that much but I have a few times when I have gotten to the store and there were a lot of people in there. I always keep on with me just in case.

I saw that on the news. . Is it any wonder why the virus continues to spread? It is an unnecessary risk yet some people seem to think they're healthy and safe enough to gather again .

@Bensen32 I just wrote about an invitation for a gathering we got . . . we are definitely NOT going. It's irresponsible as all it takes is one person to infect everyone! People have gotten way too relaxed with the reopenings .

They think it is all better now since the governments have started to open up the states again.

@much2say Agree, I am not ready for gatherings like that. It's kind of sad that we need to put these things off but it is safe to do so.

I've just watched a YouTube clip about all these people who think wearing a mask is against God, against democracy, against the Constitution - there are some crazy people out there. What's wrong with postponing a party if it is going to save your life?

I don't know makes sense to me to limit the people you are around right now even if it is family.

I am telling you, there is not much common sense left it seems.

Sorry for them. They're too excited for they're senior citizens and they are enjoying themselves. They don't know that they're susceptible to virus due to their old age and they're classified as highly risk.
