Hi My Lot, Here's my review of a TV series, and a movie that I watched recently. Starting with the show - I was recently lured in by Amazon Prime's "Tales from the Loop". It follows a family who live in the small town above the titular Loop. The Loop is underground and holds the key to some of the mysteries of the universe. From time travel, to robots, to what it means to be human.... there are some great themes explored here, but nothing really gets answered - so, it did keep my attention but I don't like how the show leaves things hanging somewhat ambiguously. "Jexi" on the other hand is a comedy movie about a man whose cell phone's personal assistant starts controlling his life and becomes a jealous girlfriend. It's a comedy, it's cheesy, it's got a few laughs in it, but I didn't think it was groundbreaking or anything. A similar premise was in the movie "Her" which was more of a serious film and one I really enjoy. Watch anything new lately? "Jexi" trailer :

Thanks for the reviews. We are watching Hanna on Prime now and are enjoying it. I loved Rectify. I think it was on Netflix. Aden Young was terrific in it and not bad on the eyes.

I haven't watched Tales from the Loop but I watched Jexi. Jexi is a funny movie and I like it. It has many scenes in San Fransico and it reminds me of our trip there before

The first one seems to be more in a sci fi vein, and I don't really care much for sci fi. Jexi sounds kind of cute though. Umm new...I did watch something new on Nflix..oh yeah, well Master of None is the newest. I wrote about that earlier this week.

As usual I posted mt TV reviews yesterday!! For most of my life I have to a movie theatre on Friday and while I used to write reviews for a local paper once the Internet entered my life I have done the same but I NEVER reviewed TV anything. A person has to adapt!! Haven't heard about the Loop--sounds like Sci-Fi--not my 'thing'.

What a nice habit to be in- and way to keep current with the movies. Ah yes, Sci Fi I would say about the"The Loop". -- How did you like writing for the paper?

How did you find the one TV show I have never seen? It's especially odd given that it's titular and leaves things hanging cause that sounds like something I should be all over. You should add it to the next Movie Night. Jexi sounds like the Big Bang Theory episode where Raj starts having a relationship with Siri and then meets her.

@FayeHazel Yeah, all through the episode, he was getting into a deeper and deeper relationship with Siri. He even bought a bunch of different covers for her and dressed her appropriately for work or school and whatever else. Then at the end, in a dream sequence, he meets her. She's sitting at a big desk talking to bunches of different men, saying all the same things she said to Raj. The list can be as long as it wants to be. We'll just keep adding more Movie Nights.

@xander6464 That sounds brilliant. Actually it sounds like the movie "Her" (a favorite of mine) Unending movie nights is what we'll end up with since we have so many. But , that is how I like it

Lol. Lets add it to movie night list. Though the list has to be pretty long by now. Nicely done btw. I'm not sure it's the same sort of titular as the kind you like but.... lol. Hmm, I must have missed that "Big Bang" episode. Wow, he met Siri? Incredible
