For those of you that didn't read my other post, I attached the HDMI cable to the TV and to the computer (took 2 minutes); and it works great! No more dongle trouble.
Also, I got locked out of my Social Security account (long story) and will not be able to participate in a usability study of their site for which I would have received a $100 Amazon credit for about an hour's work. Oh, well. The security questions were the problem; and it appears that our credit reports may have been hacked. I will be working on that more tomorrow. Spent about 2 hours with Social Security and the credit report sites today.
We had two gentlemen come and give us estimates on painting our house. One wants us to hire someone to clean all the overgrowth away from the house first. I've been wanting to do this for years. The other one said they will clear enough for the painting to be done and for the ladders.
Our little housekeeper may be able to come over this weekend if her fiance can watch the kids. Her mom is out of the babysitting job for at least 2 weeks because she's a nurse and is taking care of COVID-19 patients.
Well, that's all for today. What are you doing/what have you done today?
Stay safe and healthy; and I will see you again on Saturday.

Yes, we're going to do that plus maybe a little landscaping. It needs it badly!

The kids and I drove around town today to visit all the new models of homes on the Parade of Homes list. We saw some very beautiful and elegant new homes and new communities. I'm trying to talk my 20 year old daughter into buying her first house so she can start investing for the future and building equity. She currently has about $30 grand sitting in her bank account that would make a very nice down payment on a home. I know she wants to move to Tampa after graduating from the University of Florida, but I told her that while she is here should could be making money through appreciation on a house. And then when and if she finally decides to move to Tampa, she can either sell the house or rent it out for income.

@LindaOHio As of right now, no. She has a full ride scholarship to the University of Florida. However, for her field, she will be required to get a master's degree, and the scholarship doesn't pay for that. So she'll end up having to take out some student loans. She's already thought of that, which is why I don't think she wants to put any money down on a house right now. In the back of her mind, she is planning on using all the money she saves to pay for her master's degree.

@moffittjc She might be better off doing that than having those rotten student loans hanging over her head. How great that she had a full scholarship. What is she majoring in?

That's a good idea. Will she have any student loans though?

We need to get our house painted!
I would go with the one that wanted the other job (clearing) only because that is another project you've wanted! As they say - kill two stones with one bird!

We are going with him. He's more expensive; but he's going to do more. He will stain the deck too. We have a HUGE deck.

I think I would hire the man who wanted you to do the clean up of the plants first, he sounds more responsible.

That's too bad about getting locked out of your account. Hopefully they give another opportunity for that again soon. We have not done too much today - trying to relax. You stay safe too

That is great that the one cable worked, woohoo! Sorry about the social security account issues though, that doesn't sound too pleasant.
