Conditioned Mind

We had 2 wall clocks in our living room. One is located just at the wall of the master's bedroom and we can see what time it is once we get out of our rooms (there are 3 rooms in the second floor of our house). The other clock is situated near the front door, above the television set. So, when I am watching TV and it is time to cook, I just stare up the TV and I see the time. About a month ago, the wall clock near my parents' bedroom was not functioning anymore. That clock was brought home by my big brother from UK and it is a transparent-face wall clock, so my mother(+) placed a red-color suede board so we can see the time. We cannot bring the clock for repair because of the GCQ. Therefore, the 4 of us at home have that conditioned mind to look at the wall of the master's bedroom and see nothing. It seems our necks automatically turn to the left to check the time; now, we have to gaze upward above the TV set to check what time it is. What other things do your mind condition you to do? Me, aside from looking at an absent wall clock, I unconsciously try to move my eyeglasses up from my nose brim even though I am not wearing my eyeglasses, and I always smile when I do this.

I think wall clock is something we don't use anymore. even watches. We have the phone.

the phone is good if we always hold it. the wall clock is beneficial because our eyes will just do the staring hands-free

We get habitual towards a thing and it's normal and it takes few days for us to break that habit

for me, it is not a habit. it is a reflex of my eyes to look at the wall where the clock should be hanging.

It is normal to get into a habit of doing things.

With the clock, we also had one which was there at the beam in the dining area since I was in preschool. When it stopped functioning, I bought a new one but we placed it somewhere else.. I would always look at the beam where the old clock was located. Then even my parents did the same.. So they had no choice but to put the new one at the original place of the old clock hihi One more is the switch in our bathroom. I still press the old switch before I enter.. hihi They had already moved he switch inside...
