Why Nationality?

This recipe is really good. However, just about any nationality claims to have started the darn dish. I have heard people say Poland, Ireland, Germany, etc. I have made this recipe alot, but with a few changes. When I learned how to make this dish from a cookbook years ago, the dish was called German Potato Salad, calling for potatoes, kielbasa, water, vinegar, sugar and pepper and cooked in the Crock-Pot for 4 to 5 minutes on HIGH. I am not Polish, Irish or German, but the highlighted recipe has got to be good. What do you think?
Smoked sausage or kielbasa steamed in one pot with cabbage and potatoes - can be made in the oven, on the stove-top or in your crock pot!
