Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!

I came home Thursday AFTER going food shopping to find a big green box of fresh vegetables and fruits as a present from my health insurance company! Of course, I had bought a week of salad fixings when food shopping but being a big veggie and fruit eater I wasn't concerned about any of it going bad. Now, this may surprise you as it did me later when I thought about it: I GAVE AWAY FOOD!!!
In the box was a recipe sheet, including all the ingredients, for the following:
1) Sweet Onion Broccoli Saute
2) Caesar Salad
3) Coleslaw Salad Kit
4) Vegetable Stir-Fry
5) Honey Dijon Salad
Plus 6) A 3-pound bag of freshly sliced Apples.
According to the recipe sheet each of the first 5 items, in my opinion, either served 4 stingy portions or 2 healthy portions or 1 "You are being a Pig, Martin" portion. (I won't get into the 'serving size of 4 ounces' regarding the apples!)
It takes very little to make me happy and food always puts a smile on my face which I still have 4 days later!!

That was sort of an extra because as long as we have the epidemic all senior citizens get a box of assorted frozen dinners the first week of every month!

@GreatMartin Is that your Medicare program? I'm eligible for Medicare on my birthday this year and I will look into it. Do you have to pay anything for your prescriptions?

Look into them--Aetna--get $80 a month of free over the counter items--plenty of doctors to go to--no co-pay for doctors, etc.

Yes, they take care of their old customers plus instead of a 2 billion dollar bonus at the end of the year they only take 1.5 billion!!!
