Do you spend more or less during the coronavirus period?

I think I spend less. Perhaps I don't go out often and this is why I can consume less. Besides, I want to save more to cope with the uncertain future.
During the coronavirus period, I just bought a printer, high speed blender and a laptop. Of course I also buy the groceries and other stuffs but they don't cost much, especially compare to the travel and restaurants spending.

We spent less for sure. Since March, I have not done any extra shopping besides for food, we have not gone to any restaurants or take out, we have not gone anywhere, I have used less gass which means I am not buying gas for the car as often.
And like you, I think the future is uncertain as well . . . better to save what we can!

At least your government gives you money. But we don't get any money at all. We depend on our work. As to the people who are umemployed, they have to count on their savings. But I know some people don't have both and it is really hard.

@youless Well, many of us have mixed feelings about this money, that is another whole long discussion. We are fortunate my husband was able to keep his job . . . so many lost their jobs and are still not working. So many are literally on the edge of having nothing .

Less spending because no malling and eating out, no school allowance for my children because there's no classes. We also decided to be more frugal because there might be a worldwide economic or financial problem in the coming months.

@louievill The school offered online courses. However, here usually students will also study more in the spare time. Since these schools were also close in the past months, so all the courses became online. And this also charged more.

@youless classes here would be online so no going to school, expenses might come in gadgets like a new laptop that I will buy for my daughter who would be in college.

The spending is definitely much less now than before. First is the dining out which is usual for us. Then the trips to friends and relatives are also expensive not to mention the vacation trips.

Probably today the flights will be less and therefore the price will be higher. The summer holiday is coming but at least this year we don't plan to go to anywhere. Whereas in the past probably I already booked the flights and hotels.

@youless the plane cannot fly with only 30% capacity. It will lose money.

I haven't spent as much money, during the pandemic. I have a savings account now, which I didn't have before. We don't go out or do anything, we just sit home and watch television.

@youless I did save before, but not really serious about it. Now, I am genuinely stashing away for any hard times ahead.
