I will be leaving for my trip in a few hours. I think everything is about packed..just need last minute items to go in. I am not due to my nephew's place until about 6 but I will give myself plenty of time to deal with the traffic..if I get up there early which I fully expect to, I will go shopping nearby, and have some dinner. I won't be eating with him, because he eats about 5 things period in life. Anyway, hope I have a good trip.

Wishing you a safe trip and lots of fun! I'm kind of jealous. I say this not knowing if it's a pleasure trip or not, which I hope it is. I wish I was going on a trip. Maybe after the scare is over. We're all going to need vacations after it, I think.

It is, but since my dad has dementia it won't be quite as pleasant as it could be. He is still mostly like his old self albeit asking the same question 20 times.

@snowy22315 aww I know that is hard. My dad lived to 100 but the last two years were in a nursing home. He had to go there for physical reasons, but he had gotten dementia -- he never lost it so bad he didn't know who we were, but he had horrific short term memory. So yes, the questions, I'm so familiar with that. And he'd fixate on one thing like a dog with a bone. It's sad.

@CinnamonGrl Yes, he is a bit like that. One question he likes to ask me is if I have talked to my son...I imagine I will hear that multiple times while I am there.

He wouldn't eat anything on the way home until we arrived at this apartment and then he made himself some dinner, he stopped so I could grab something though fortunately.

@snowy22315 I am glad that you could grab something, my husband is a bit like that, I really have to insist to stop and have lunch or dinner.

Yes, Thank you. I wore the mask except I ran in one facility to use the restroom and forgot said mask...Bad, Bad me!
