Independence Day for the United States

Many here are from other countries. And I mean no disrespect to any of you for this post. Most of you here should know you are my friends, no matter where you live.
Yesterday I placed our American flag on the front porch. Tomorrow is the 4th of July, our Independence Day.
No celebrations here. Most of the live fireworks shows have been cancelled. Nashville has one of the largest shows in the country that attracts thousands each year. They announced last night it will be cancelled.
Probably means more neighborhood fireworks unfortunately. Started last week hearing the sounds, like gunshots.
Anyway, enjoy your day. And Happy 4th of July to those who celebrate.

I have been hearing fireworks all week. I guess people just can't respectfully wait until the actual holiday to blow stuff up. It's only going to get worse tonight through Sunday. I hope I am able to sleep. I don't know why idiots feel the need to set off fireworks at 2, 3, or 4 in the morning.

The 4th is very different this year in a lot of places. Here it mostly seems the same, just people are in their own little groups 6ft apart.

@CarolDM Oh yeah, all the picnic tables were placed far apart; more than 6 ft. They have sanitizing stations everywhere. Might check out the concert that is going on tonight, not sure how well distanced that has been going.

That's bad that you won't be able to celebrate the independent day. We will celebrate it tomorrow just at home. Maybe we will cook special dishes tomorrow.
