Hooked on hibiscus tea

I go through phases where my body craves certain things. Lately it has been sweet potatoes, then cheese sticks and then fresh melon like cantaloupe and watermelon. These days it is hibiscus tea. The popular type in this area is called Lemon Zinger. I wasn't a big fan of it in the past because I thought it was kind of bitter. Now I can't get enough of it. I have it hot in the morning. I have a pitcher of it iced in the fridge for later in the day. Best of all it doesn't contain caffeine so I can drink it throughout the afternoon and evening without worrying about it interfering with my sleep. Do you get cravings for certain foods/drinks?

I go through cravings like that as well. I wonder if it is our bodies telling us we need more of certain vitamins and minerals to keep us healthy. Currently, I'm a a fruit kick. I have been craving fruit all day long, every day for about 2 weeks now. I have just been eating every kind of fruit imaginable all day long and I just can't get enough of it. So that is my current craving.

@NJChicaa For the last couple of days, I have been having a real deep craving for chicken wings. Hot buffalo wings to be more precise. Gonna wait to see if it's just a short-term craving, or if the craving remains after another few days. I am trying to eat as healthy as possible right now, so I'm doing my best to not give in to short-term cravings. But if the craving lasts more than a week or so, I might have to act on it.

Is it a ready made tea ? I buy hibicus flowers in African shops here. They drink this tea alone in Egypt with a lot of sugar and call it karkade. In Western Africa it is prepared with adding lemon balm or mint and always drinked cold. It is bissap. I think the version with lemon and ginger is from Antillas or America. I prefer the Egyptian version.

I get cravings but rarely get them satisfied. It's usually soup, PB&Js and chicken nuggets for me. Sometimes my hubs will pick up pizza when I want one.

I like hibiscus tea. It tastes a bit sour.
