Happy Friday! & Summer Hobbies

How's it going? Happy Friday! I had a really good, laid back day summer day today before having to head to work for 5 1/2 hours of overtime. I went on a short walk (1 mile) around a nearby park, and then I laid on the beach for an ~hour and worked on my "tan" (AKA burn), finished reading a book I was working on (Blue is for Nightmares - Laurie Faria Stolarz, was NOT as good as I remember it being when I read it the first time in high school, guess our tastes DO change!). I work all weekend-Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday and then the following week I am off work and will be heading out of town for the extra long road trip. I am excited just to get out of dodge, even if I will be socially distanced for most of the time. I just love summer! Everything in bloom (like these nice flowers at the park), the hot weather (that sticks to you like a muggy, nasty little blanket), being near or in water to keep cool, getting that summer glow (or burn, if you are me), seeing people out and about - getting exercise, spending time with friends and family, swimming, kayaks, sun tanning on beaches. And when it's all over, taking a nice afternoon nap in cool AC. A generic post, and my apologies for that, but today was an example of why I really love summer.
