A friend sent me this cookbook a couple of years ago. The secondary title says "Eat in style on a bare-bones budget". Last night I decided to go through it since I've only made 1 recipe from it so far. I picked 4 new ones to try: 1) Pasta Carbonara 2) Pea Puree Lasagnette 3) Untraditional Bolognese 4) Cinnamon Roasted Chicken I've made carbonara and bolognese before but these are obviously different versions from what I've made in the past. The pea lasagna roll ups and the chicken are things I've never had before but they seem interesting. I guess we will find out. I like the idea of this cookbook. I enjoy good food, new recipes, and saving money. She says to splurge on things like extra-virgin olive oil and Parmesan cheese while elevating cheaper cuts and smaller portions of proteins like beef or pork. I'm looking forward to trying these recipes out! Have you made anything new lately?
