We dont have AC so cleaning it is not an issue cor us at all, and unless glonal warming increases a lot it is very likely that we will never need one.

Yes. Its just not hot enough for AC, ever, although some Scots do have AC.

The cleaning is a maintenance to prolong the life of the AC.

@Alexandoy I can imagine, July is the hottest month, but it's enough that it rains or the wind blows and the temperature is fine. We had wind during the night the temperature has been 25ยบ C today.

You are lucky with a good weather. We cannot survive without an AC during summer. The heat is terrible.

I just had to have my entire AC unit replaced a few weeks ago. The condenser coil went bad on it. It was an older AC unit anyway, so it's nice that I now have a new unit that is much more efficient.

A new unit is definitely efficient. We had the compressor replaced about 3 years ago and it is working well until now.

The cleaners do everything. They use pails to catch the water and dirt so we do not need to clean after them. The charge is $60 for 2 units of AC.

That is for cleaning the air conditioner. They have to spray with with water so the tarpaulin is set up to catch the water.

@Alexandoy Here they usually use blower to remove the dust, and remove the nets,wash them, dry them. And do some checking inside, keep AC on for 1 hour. And later put all removed parts back together.

@Alexandoy That is what they did when I called for maintenance. Since it is rainy season we are not using AC at the moment. I don't know the performance yet

For the 2 AC they charge 1,500 pesos because I am a long time customer. But for others they charge more.
