You knew your luck would have to run out and eventually a country music song would show up. Today’s song featuring “America” in the title, in honor of the 4th of July, is at least by a group you’ve heard of. And here it is. #8: American Made - Oak Ridge Boys Not one of those songs you should take too seriously, the Oaks deliver a look at consumerism (“I’ve got a Nikon camera, a Sony color TV”) and love. This is one of those songs they could ban today (“from her silky long hair to her sexy long legs”), but as Sgt. Hulka said in Stripes, “Lighten up, Francis.” Oh, and if you watch the video you’ll see the country music definition of an encore: sing more of the song that got the wild applause. And yes, some of the older country acts (what few of them that are left) still do that! American Made Written by Bob DiPiero and Pat McManus Recorded by the Oak Ridge Boys From American Made, 1983 She loves wearing French perfume:

Like JJ pointed out, it’s a bad video copy of a poorly-mixed performance. Here’s the studio version.
