I finally tried a warm slice of the banana bread that I made this morning with a pat of butter. It is freaking outstanding. Super easy to make and the flavor payoff is out of this world. I would definitely recommend trying this one out if you are interested in making banana bread. Interestingly the recipe authors are celebrity chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger who are known as the Too Hot Tamales and well known for their Mexican food and restaurants. I was initially hesitant to check out their recipe because I figured it would have some weird ingredient in it like chili powder or jalapenos or something. It doesn't and is absolutely the best banana bread I've ever had.

Cool! Maybe the butter makes it so good? Different. I'm glad it turned out so well.

I'd make and send you some if it wouldn't get moldy in transit.

@NJChicaa Your comment reminds me of the time years ago that one of my sisters mailed apricots from her tree to my Mom. What a mushy mess for Mom!

Interesting that there's butter in the bread- yum. The recipe that I use calls for no fat in the bread.

There were 8 tablespoons of room temperature butter in the batter and then I put a smear of it on the finished slice.
